Could I use a lighter to burn out my nose hairs?

Could I use a lighter to burn out my nose hairs?
or would that hurt too much? I ask because there are no stores around me that sell the clipper things and the hairs are getting outta control and my girlfriend says to cut them or else and plus they itch a lot. Would that burn too much if I held the flame in there for like 2 seconds? Thx Benjamintheblue
