Ok, so 2 days ago my cat got sprayed by a skunk. I bought a skunk odor remover safe for cats and bathed him in it 3 times. It significantly reduced the smell of the skunk to the point where you can only smell it if you put your nose up to his fur. So I washed him also in johnson’s baby soap (and to get the skunk remover off him). It worked great, leaving his hair very soft and clean, but he still smells a bit. Now, I want to get rid of the smell completely without putting him through the pain and terror of washing him again. I was thinking if I put fresh orange peels or somehow get that on him without traumatizing him it will neutralize the smell, but I was wondering what other SAFE natural plants or something else I can rub on him so I dont have to wash him.
My cat is my best friend and I want to be able to snuggle with him again so all answers are greatly appreciated
